Daddy O Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands selects new management

HRI Lodging, which is among the 50 largest hotel management companies in the U.S., will be the new management firm for the Daddy O Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, starting Monday.

The 46-room boutique property is the first Florida hotel in HRI Lodging’s portfolio. The company, the hotel management arm of New Orleans-based HRI Properties, manages 20 other U.S. properties.

Daddy O’s new management team will oversee the upcoming renovations to the hotel’s guest rooms, corridors and public spaces. Representatives from HRI Lodging told the South Florida Business Journal that dates and details about the improvements will be announced later.

The hotel previously had $4 million in renovations in 2009. Both boutique and chain hospitality brands are updating rapidly to stay competitive in South Florida’s booming hotel market as dozens of major projects move through the construction pipeline across Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

Daddy O Hotel’s current amenities include a complimentary breakfast, dry cleaning and laundry, complimentary Wi-Fi, valet, room service, and a beer and wine lounge.
